David Kalwicz (he/him) is currently a fifth year in the clinical psychology doctoral
program at GWU. He received his B.A. at American University, where he double
majored in Psychology and Applied Statistics. David's research interests are
broadly focused on sexual and gender minority mental and sexual health.
Recently, David has focused his research on HIV stigma, U=U messaging, and
psychosocial outcomes associated with PrEP.
David completed his master’s thesis at GWU that examined the association
between PrEP status and openness to serodifferent partnering and the
moderating effect of HIV stigma among HIV-negative MSM. David’s dissertation
project aims to evaluate initial reactions to evolving insights on HIV transmission
risk among Black, Latino/a/e/x, and Multiracial sexual and gender minorities.
Clinically, his area of work is focused on child and adolescent populations,
specifically sexual minorities and youth at the intersection of gender diversity and
autism/neurodiversity.
